PLATTE -- Winner won both sets, 25-16, 25-15, to top Platte-Geddes in the Southeast South Dakota Conference tournament semifinals on Saturday. Winner later swept Burke to claim the championship.

Platte-Geddes (16-5): Avery Devries paced the Black Panthers with 15 assists and three digs. Karly Vanderwerff put down a team-high 10 kills, while Cadence Van Zee chipped in six kills. Regan Hoffman added five digs. Platte-Geddes travels to Winner today.

Platte-Geddes 2, Gregory 0

PLATTE -- Platte-Geddes topped Gregory in pool play of the Southeast South Dakota Conference tournament on Saturday. Set scores were 25-18 and 25-13.

Platte-Geddes: Regan Hoffman had 14 digs and Avery Devries chipped in 16 assists, four digs and two aces. Cadence Van Zee added seven kills and three aces. Karly Vanderwerff put down five kills.

Burke 2, Platte-Geddes 1

PLATTE -- Burke won the final two sets to take down Platte-Geddes in the Southeast South Dakota Conference tournament on Saturday. Set scores were 20-25, 25-21 and 25-20.

Platte-Geddes: Taryn Starr finished with five digs and four kills. Avery Devries chipped in 20 assists, nine digs and two aces. Regan Hoffman added 19 digs. Karly Vanderwerff finished with nine kills, six digs and two blocks. Baleigh Nachtigal added 16 digs, while Cadence Van Zee recorded eight kills and seven digs.

Colome 3, Centerville 0

COLOME -- Colome picked up a home win with a sweep of Centerville on Saturday. Set scores were 25-19, 25-20 and 25-13.

Colome (12-4): Libbie Petersek had 15 digs, 12 kills and three aces for the Cowgirls. Jordyn Ring added 14 digs and 15 assists, while Landi Krumpus chipped in nine digs. The Cowgirls play Kimball/White Lake today in White Lake.

Centerville (3-15): Mya Bendt finished with 14 digs and nine kills. Ellie Hunter added 14 digs and five kills, while Bailey Hansen dished out 10 assists. The Tornadoes travel to Bridgewater-Emery on Tuesday.

Canistota 3, Viborg-Hurley 0

CANISTOTA -- Canistota cruised past Viborg-Hurley for a straight set win on Saturday. Set scores were 25-11, 25-19 and 25-20.


Canistota (3-11): Desiree Pierce finished with 13 digs and eight assists. Sydnee Engbrecht added 12 digs, five kills and four aces, while Kayla Papendick had 17 digs and five kills. Taylor Mcgregor put down seven kills. Hannah Remacle chipped in seven digs and three aces. Lexi Tieszen added 11 digs and nine assists in the win. The Hawks travel to Freeman today.

Viborg-Hurley (1-15): Madelyn Vasgaard had a team-high 10 digs. Mataya Vannorsdel dished out 10 assists. Coral Mason put down eight assists and Estelle Lee served two aces. The Cougars play Alcester-Hudson today in Hurley.
