WESSINGTON SPRINGS -- Wessington Springs scored three runs in the third inning to take down Menno 11-1 on Tuesday in American Legion baseball action.
Clay Olinger, Landon Cleveland, and Cade Mohling all had two hits for Wessington Springs (2-6). Cleveland had two RBIs while Dylan Schimke and Clay Olinger had one hit each. Blake Larson pitched four innings for Wessington Springs allowing one hit and struck out four. Cleveland pitched two innings, managing to strike out three and allowed two hits.
Jacob Schott, Menno’s starting pitcher, took the loss allowing five runs and one hit, but struck out three. Jordan Gall pitched the last two innings giving up three hits and six runs, but struck out six. Levi Bender had one hit and Jayce Walloch had one hit and one RBI.
Canova 4, Dell Rapids 1
DELL RAPIDS -- Canova scored three runs at the top of the third in an American Legion win over Dell Rapids Tuesday night.

Jace Sifore and Riley Genzlinger scored off the same error to give Canova a 2-0 lead. Jackson Remmers scored on a steal to home plate to extend the lead to three.
Genzlinger and Remmers each had two hits while Kieffer Klinkhammer and Griffin Clubb had one hit each. Genzlinger pitched four innings allowing two hits and one, but struck out eight. Noah Swartwout pitched for Dell Rapids allowing six hits and three runs, but struck out 11.
