PLANKINTON - Kim Koupal recorded a double-double to help the Wagner Red Raiders beat Mount Vernon/ Plankinton in five sets Tuesday at the Region 5A championship.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 15-9.
Wagner (25-6) advances to the Class A state tournament, which is Nov. 21-23 in Aberdeen, while the Titans end their season 24-5.
Koupal recorded 32 digs and 22 kills to help lead Wagner. Gina Soukup chipped in with four aces and 19 kills, while Kayla Deurmier had 54 assists and Brooklyn Tolliver had 30 digs.
Mount Vernon/Plankinton was led by Makaela Karst and Dani Stoltz. Karst had 19 kills and Stoltz had 18 kills. Megan Bultsma added 12 kills and five blocks. Kallyn Prangley tallied 39 digs and two aces and Mikayla Weiss had 52 assists.

FORT PIERRE - The top-seeded Winner Warriors beat No. 2 Miller in four sets Tuesday at the Region 6A championship match to advance to the Class A state tournament.
Set scores were 21-25, 25-219, 25-9, 25-16.
Cassidy Hanson led the way for the Warriors with 14 kills, 24 digs and two aces for a double-double. Tawny Sherman chipped in with nine kills, Sara Husher had 30 assists and two aces and while Lindsey Calhoon had 26 digs.
Winner (25-3) plays in the Class A state tournament Nov. 21 in Aberdeen.
Lyman 3, Philip 0
WALL - The Lyman volleyball team earned its second straight state tournament berth Tuesday after defeating Philip 3-0 in the Region 7B championship match.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-12, 25-17. The Raiders (24-8) advance to the Class B state tournament, which is Nov. 21-23 at the Huron Arena.
Anna Flitner led the way three aces, 22 kills and 19 digs for a double-double. Sara Herman recorded two aces and 17 digs, Bailey Lulf chipped in with three blocks and Jessica Welter had five kills. Ashton Smith added three kills, while Brooklyn Halverson tallied four blocks. Hanna Thiry had 18 assists and Bailey Almond added 14 assists.
No stats were reported for Philip.
Kimball/White Lake 3, Gregory 0
PLATTE - The Kimball/White Lake WiLdKats swept Gregory 25-14, 25-10, 25-21 in the Region 6B championship match Tuesday to advance to the Class B state tournament.
Kimball/White Lake (19-7) begins play at the state tournament Nov. 21 at the Huron Arena, while Gregory ends its season 14-16.
KWL’s Mary Kroupa led all players with 23 assists, Brooklyn Donald had a team-leading nine kills and Ivy Haines added five kills, three blocks and three kills. Anna Pazour and Courtney Eimers each tallied six digs. Jazmyn Hinker chipped in with seven kills and Haley Pazour had six.
Gregory’s Courtney Opbroek had a team-high seven kills and Briana Leber had 10 digs. Allison Sundquist recorded three kills and two blocks, while Brett Steffen had 14 assists in the loss.
Arlington 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 0
FORESTBURG - Sanborn Central/Woonsocket fell 25-18 25-19, 25-12 to Arlington in the Region 4B championship match Tuesday in Forestburg.
The Blackhawks finished their season 17-11, while Arlington advances to the Class B state volleyball tournament, which is Nov. 21-23 at the Huron Arena.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was led by Rachel Selland with a team-high 12 assists, six digs and one ace. Marissa Weber had six kills and seven digs, while Savannah Swenson added 12 digs, four kills and one ace in the loss.
Arlington’s Samantha Boeck recorded a match-high 26 kills. Kimberly VanBockern added nine kills, while Brooklyn Judstra had nine digs, six kills and two aces.

Chester Area 3, Hanson 0
HARTFORD - Chester Area defeated Hanson 25-13, 25-13, 25-21 in the Region 4B championship match Tuesday.
Chester Area (26-2) advances to the Class B state volleyball tournament, which is Nov. 21-23 in Huron. The Beavers end their season 24-2.
The Flyers were led by Jenna Reiff with 11 kills, 13 digs and four aces. Sara Heyn had 30 assists, Rachel Reiff added 11 kills and five blocks and Erin Benson recorded 23 digs.
Hanson was led by Kynedi Cheeseman with 11 kills and 16 digs for a double-double. Leah Marsh had 23 digs, Hailey Doyle added 12 assists and Emily Brown tallied 10 assists.
