ALEXANDRIA -- The Hanson Beavers downed Bridgewater-Emery 52-40 in a high school girls basketball game on Thursday
Katlyn Schroeder led Hanson with 10 points and Ashley Moe had nine points and five rebounds. Brooke Slaba also recorded five rebounds. The Beavers went 14-for-43 on field goals, 21-for-32 free throws and committed 13 turnovers.
Bridgewater-Emery was led by Kadra Kayser with 14 points and Justine Dye with 11 points. Jennifer Olinger had nine rebounds. The Huskies had 11 turnovers in the loss.
Hanson (1-1) travels to Chamberlain on Tuesday. Bridgewater-Emery (0-2) play Viborg-Hurley on Tuesday in Emery.

WHITE LAKE -- Hannah Just scored 22 points on 6-of-16 shooting and 2-for-3 from deep to help Tripp-Delmont/Armour defeat Kimball/White Lake 44-41 in a high school girls basketball game on Thursday in White Lake.
Jessica Sandau pulled down 11 rebounds, added three points and three steals for TDA, which led by as much as 12 in the fourth quarter.
Kimball/White Lake was led by Kelli Steffen, who scored 12 points and had four steals and a block for the WiLdKats.
The WiLdKats committed 17 turnovers and were outrebounded by TDA 42-36.
The Nighthawks (1-1) host Menno on Saturday in Tripp. Kimball/White Lake (1-1) play Tuesday against Platte-Geddes in Kimball.

Hope Menning scored 23 points and hauled in eight rebounds, while Micayla Bamberg added 17 points for the Jaguars.
Courtney Menning had 10 assists and six points.
Corsica/Stickney held the Warbirds to 22 percent shooting and forced 21 turnovers.
Bailey Zerfoss had seven points to lead Wolsey-Wessington.

HOWARD -- Howard's Kelsey Dawson had 13 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double in a 65-40 loss to Sioux Valley on Thursday in high school girls basketball action.
Sioux Valley was led by Kaylee Granum and Carley Peterson with 15 points apiece. Carly Granum added 11 for the Cossacks, who were 21-of-52 from the field and had 29 rebounds and 10 turnovers.
The Tigers shot 19-of-48 from the field and had 38 rebounds and 23 turnovers.

PARKER -- Freeman defeated Parker 51-40 in a high school girls basketball game on Thursday in Parker.
Shelby Jensen led Freeman with six points, four rebounds and two assists, while Erika Sage had nine points, eight steals, four rebounds and an assist. Freeman made 15-of-51 field goals, 6-of-19 three point shots and 15-of-25 free throws, while committing 24 turnovers.
Parker was led by Lauren Hunstad who had nine points, six steals, three assists and two rebounds, while Rylie Christensen added 12 points, six rebounds, an assist and a steal. Parker was 17-of-38 from the field, 1-of-5 three points shots, 5-of-13 free throws and had 34 turnovers.
Freeman (1-1) goes head-to-head with Canistota on Dec. 19 in Canistota. Parker (0-1) plays McCook Central/Montrose on Saturday in Montrose.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS -- Sheyanne Brodkorb scored a team-high 12 points in the Wessington Springs girls basketball team's 36-31 loss to James Valley Christian on Thursday.
Shyanne Kopfmann had nine rebounds and eight points for the Spartans, who were 12-of-48 from the floor, 6-of-11 from the line and committed 18 turnovers. The Spartans outrebounded JVC 36-33.
Khiree Held recorded 17 points and Hannah Loban added nine points and 10 rebounds in the win. JVC was 13-of-45 from the field, 6-of-17 from the line and had 17 turnovers.

Kaitlyn Engbrecht led Marion with 21 points, while Devin Nelson recorded 19 points and seven rebounds. The Bears recorded 20-of-47 field goals and 11-of-24 free throw shots.
Canistota was led by Kalli Ortman, who scored 14 points, and Alex Engbarth, who added 12 points. Christine Heiman pulled down 14 rebounds. Canistota shot 17-for-59 on field goals and 7-for-13 on free throw shots.

HARTFORD -- West Central earned its first win of the year in 42-30 win over Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Thursday in high school girls basketball action in West Central.
McKenzie Stone led West Central with 14 points and the team went 6-of-9 on free throws.
The Titans were led by Megan Bultsma with 14 points and Makaela Karst with 12 points. The Titans went 3-of-11 on free throws.
