SCOTLAND -- Tanner Skorepa's double-double carried Scotland past Bon Homme 45-36 on Friday in Scotland.
Skorepa had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Shaye Bloch added 17 points. Scotland made 14 of 24 free throws, while Bon Homme was 3-of-5 from the line.
Bon Homme was led by Hunter Young with 19 points and Tanner Van Winkle had 10 points. Bon Homme shot 15-of-35 from the floor for 42 percent, while Scotland 14-of-41 for 34 percent.
Scotland (1-1) takes on Viborg-Hurley on Monday in Hurley, while Bon Homme (0-1) faces Irene-Wakonda on Monday in Wakonda.

HOWARD -- Will Gottlob and Cole Cheeseman each had 12 points in McCook Central/Montrose's 66-18 win over Howard on the road on Friday.
The Fighting Cougars' Tim Gassman and Jesse Muth contributed nine points apiece for MCM to round out the scoring.
Howard was led by Tate Schwader, who had five points, while Tyran Wollman tallied four points.
MC/M (2-1) faces Vermillion on Dec. 29 in Parkston, while Howard (0-3) takes on Arlington on Jan. 5 in Arlington.

HARTFORD -- The West Central boys basketball team defeated Wagner 72-39 on Friday at home.
For the Red Raiders, Trajan Holiday had 17 points and Lukas Young had 13 points and eight rebounds. At the half, West Central led Wagner 39-28.
Wagner (0-1) takes on Dakota Christian today at home, while West Central (2-2) faces Tea Area on Dec. 27 in Hartford.
Parkston 56, Chamberlain 35
PARKSTON -- Dillon Thuringer recorded a double-double for Parkston as the Trojans defeated Chamberlain 56-35 on Friday in Parkston.
Thuringer had 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Wes Genant chipped in 13 points for the Trojans. Parkston shot 51 percent from the field, 66 percent from the line and had 29 rebounds.

Chamberlain was led by Seth Friesz who had 11 points. The Cubs shot 29 percent from the floor, 40 percent from the line and grabbed 27 rebounds.
Parkston (2-0) hosts Avon on Tuesday, while Chamberlain (1-1) faces Redfield/Doland on Monday in Chamberlain.

HOWARD -- Brianna Painter scored 16 points as McCook Central/Montrose defeated Howard 48-33 in a high school girls basketball game on Friday in Howard.
Rachael Laetsch chipped with 13 points and Morgan Koepsell added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Howard was led by Kelsey Dawson, who scored 12 points, while Taylor Noid added 11 for the Tigers.

PARKSTON -- The Parkston Trojan girls basketball team held Chamberlain scoreless in the first quarter en route to a 61-36 win on Friday in Parkston.
Halli Heisinger scored 17 points and Sam Kinneberg chipped with 10 as Parkston improved to 3-0 on the season.
Chamberlain was led by Rachel Reuer, who had 14 points, six rebounds and five steals in the loss.

PLATTE -- Alexis Peterson's double-double carried Platte-Geddes as it downed Gregory 41-26 in a high school girls basketball game on Friday in Platte.
Peterson finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds, while Hallie Hallock added 12 points and eight rebounds in the win.
Gregory's Briana Leber led the Gorillas with nine points and five rebounds.
Platte-Geddes (1-2) plays at Freeman today, while Gregory (1-2) hosts Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Dec. 30 in Gregory.

CANISTOTA -- The Freeman girls basketball team outscored Canistota 14-6 in the third quarter en route to a 53-43 victory Friday night.
Erika Sage had a game-high 19 points and Cailey Roth recorded 13 points and six rebounds in the win. The Flyers shot 37 percent from the field and 44 percent from the line, while outrebounding the Hawks 26-20.
Canistota's Kalli Ortman had 15 points and Sadie Anderson grabbed six rebounds. The Hawks shot 38 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line.
Freeman (2-1) won the JV game and hosts Platte-Geddes today, while Canistota (1-4) plays Sioux Valley on Dec. 29 in Brookings.

AVON -- The Avon girls basketball team earned its second win of the season, defeating Marty 54-39 on Friday.
The Pirates shot 42 percent from the floor, while Marty shot 23 percent. Avon had 15 assists to Marty's three. The Pirates outrebounded Marty 44-23.
Avon (2-2) takes on Alcester-Hudson on Jan. 2 in Alcester, while Marty (2-1) plays Andes Central on Jan. 6 in Lake Andes.
