GREGORY-The Lyman girls basketball team claimed the Southern Plains Conference Tournament championship with a 54-46 win over Kadoka Area on Saturday in Gregory.
Ashton Smith had 13 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double, while Hanna Thiry added 12 points for the Raiders, who went 15-of-48 from the field for 31 percent.
Lyman outrebounded Kadoka Area 35-32 and forced 14 Kadoka turnovers.
Lyman (10-1) plays Highmore-Harrold on Thursday in Highmore.

GREGORY-Three Burke/South Central players scored 10 points as the Cougars downed Stanley County 51-20 in the third-place game of the Southern Plains Conference Tournament on Saturday in Gregory.
Tressa Bull, Taylee Indahl and Lexi Fernau each finished with 10 points for B/SC, which went 21-of-65 from the floor for 32 percent shooting.
Stanley County went 6-of-32 from the field for 19 percent shooting and committed 35 turnovers in the loss.
