PLATTE -- Platte-Geddes posted 30 points in the first half and cruised to a 49-27 win over Scotland on Friday night in girls basketball action.
Both Alexis Peterson and Hallie Hallock scored 14 points and Jada Nelson tacked on 12 points and seven rebounds for the Black Panthers.
Platte-Geddes was 15-for-56 on field goal tries and made 11 of 16 free throws. The Black Panthers had 12 turnovers and pulled down 30 rebounds to Scotland’s 28.
For the Highlanders, Taylor Gall had eight points and eight rebounds. Scotland was 10-for-41 shooting field goals and made 8-of-25 free throws, while committing 25 turnovers.
Platte-Geddes (7-5) plays Parkston on Tuesday in Platte. Scotland (3-7) plays Alcester-Hudson on Monday in Scotland.

LENNOX -- Lennox defeated Parkston 52-37 in a high school girls basketball contest on Friday in Lennox.
Paige Semmler scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for a double-double in the loss.
For Lennox, Madysen Vlastuin had 11 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Jordan Kruse had nine points.
Lennox (11-1) plays Madison on Monday in Lennox, while Parkston (4-7) plays Platte-Geddes on Tuesday in Platte.

For MCM, Morgan Koepsell had a game-high 17 points in the loss.

STICKNEY -- Ellie Hohn had a double double as No. 1-ranked Ethan improved to 11-1 on the season in a 62-15 win at Corsica-Stickney on Friday night in girls basketball action.
Hohn had 17 points, 10 rebounds and five steals in the win. Kacey Bartscher added 14 points and Karly Gustafson had 13 points and four assists. The Rustlers were 24-for-52 shooting, 7-for-14 on free throws and committed nine turnovers. Ethan had a 27-15 edge in rebounding.
The Jaguars had seven points and five rebounds from Courtney Menning. Corsica-Stickney was held to 6-of-31 shooting, 3-of-7 on free throws and committed 21 turnovers.
Ethan (11-1) plays Canistota on Monday in Canistota. Corsica-Stickney (4-8) plays Viborg-Hurley on Monday in Viborg.

Erika Sage led the Flyers with 13 points and five steals, while Ashley Glanzer and Hannah Eberts each chipped in eight points. Freeman went 19-of-33 from the field for 47 percent shooting.
Menno was led by Eisley Sayler had six points and six rebounds as the Wolves went 7-of-28 from the floor for 25 percent shooting and committed 36 turnovers.
Menno (5-8) plays Canton on Thursday in Menno, while Freeman (8-1 before) plays St. Francis Indian today in St. Francis.

For Gregory, Lauren Svatos had eight points and the team went 10-of-22 from the line in the loss.

BURKE -- Lyman advanced to the Southern Plains Conference Tournament championship with a 55-38 win over Burke/South Central on Friday in Burke.
Lyman was led by Ashton Smith’s 14 points, while Shelby Schindler added 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. The Raiders went 20-of-43 from the floor and 10-of-14 from the line.
Ryahna Schweigert, Tressa Bull and Lexi Fernau each had eight points, while Fernau added seven assists. The Cougars went 13-of-52 from the field, 6-of-9 from the line and had seven turnovers.
Lyman plays Kadoka Area in the title game at 5:30 p.m. today in Gregory, while Burke/South Central plays Stanley County in the third-place game at 4 p.m. today in Gregory.

PLATTE -- Lennox hit 10 3-pointers picked up a road victory at Platte-Geddes 63-43 in a high school boys basketball game on Friday.
For Lennox, Marshall McLaren had 17 points and seven rebounds to pace the Orioles. Brock Anderson had 12 points and Quincy Ihnen had 10 points. The Orioles made 20-of-44 field goal attempts and 13-of-17 free throws.
Zavier Marshall scored 10 points to lead the Black Panthers, while Malachi Girton added nine points and Ricky Knecht chipped in seven points. Platte-Geddes was 13-for-44 shooting in the game and made 12-of-23 free throws.
Platte-Geddes (3-5) plays Hanson at 10 a.m. today in the Hanson Classic at the Corn Palace. Lennox (3-7) plays Parkston on Thursday in Parkston.
