PARKSTON -- Class B No. 1 Corsica-Stickney edged Mount Vernon/Plankinton 54-51 at the Parkston Classic in girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Corsica-Stickney (4-0): Avery Broughton paced the Jaguars with 16 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks. Raven Barse added 13 points and 10 boards. Rachel Gerlach finished with eight points and five assists. Corsica-Stickney plays Gayville-Volin on Jan. 6 in Gayville.
Mount Vernon/Plankinton (1-2): Hallie Schmidt finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Emilee Fox and Katlyn Briggs both put in 11 points. Fox dished out seven assists. The Titans play Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Jan. 2 in Woonsocket.

PARKSTON -- Kailee Clausen poured in 23 points to power Redfield to a girls basketball win over Canistota at the Parkston Classic on Tuesday.
Redfield (2-1): Georgia Kuehn tossed in 10 points and Hannah Kuehn finished with eight points. The Pheasants play Hitchcock-Tulare on Jan. 4 in Tulare.
Canistota (0-3): Skylar Bultje scored 18 points. McKenzy Krinke finished with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists. Harley Cormany posted eight points, six rebounds and six steals. Canistota plays at Centerville on Jan. 3.
