Hanson had three double-digit scorers in its 52-45 girls basketball win over Avon on Monday at the Corn Palace.
Hanson (3-1): Annalyse Weber scored a team-high 17 points to go with five rebounds and five steals. Mekiah Campbell had a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Beavers. Shelby Hernandez scored 10 points and Karlie Goergen added three steals. The Beavers play Irene-Wakonda on Dec. 31 in Irene.
Avon (1-3): Mallory Miller finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Hanna Miller added eight points and four assists, while Ali Sees scored eight points. Shalayne Nagel finished with six rebounds and two steals. The Pirates travel to Colome on Jan. 4.

Corsica-Stickney 60, Gayville-Volin 25
CORSICA -- Class B No. 1 Corsica-Stickney scored 43 points in the first half to notch a girls basketball win over Gayville-Volin on Monday.
Corsica-Stickney (4-0): Avery Broughton recorded 19 points and seven rebounds. Raven Barse chipped in 12 points, six rebounds and three steals for the Jaguars. Casey Tolsma chipped in nine points and five rebounds. The Jaguars travel to Parkston on Dec. 28.
Gayville-Volin (1-4): Molly Larson finished with eight points, six boards and two steals. Kayla Vanosdel added six points. The Raiders play Centerville today in Gayville.

HOWARD -- Howard picked up another girls basketball win over Freeman on Monday.
Howard (2-1): Kate Connor had 10 points and a game-high 17 rebounds. Kenedy Koepsell finished with 21 points and Trinity Palmquist scored 10 points and three steals. Saddie Palmquist grabbed seven boards. The Tigers play in the Huron Classic on Dec. 29.
Freeman (0-4): Kate Miller recorded 11 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. Rijjy Peterson added 10 points and six rebounds, while Erin Uecker added seven points and seven boards. The Flyers host Irene-Wakonda on Jan. 5.

Hanson recorded a 30-point boys basketball win over Kimball/White Lake on Monday at the Corn Palace.
Hanson (4-0): Ethan Cheeseman led the Beavers with 20 points and eight rebounds. Noah Price tossed in 17 points and Hayden Bahmuller scored 11 points. Riley Ferry finished with 10 points. The Beavers play Aberdeen Christian on Dec. 30 at the Corn Palace.
Kimball/White Lake (1-2): Dawson Miller led the KWL with 11 points and six rebounds. Jaxon Christensen posted nine points. The WiLdKats play Highmore-Harrold today in Kimball.

Alcester-Hudson (2-2): Kaden Kleinhans led the Cubs with 17 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Jaxon Doering added nine points and 12 rebounds. The Cubs travel to Avon on Jan. 5.
