Eathan Bartels plated a pair with a two-out double, while Joey Cole added an RBI triple and Charley Pravecek drilled an RBI single for the Royals in the inning. Pravecek finished 2-for-2 with an RBI. Zach Bohnet also had an RBI for Winner/Colome (3-1).
On the mound, Bartels gave up one hit and struck out 11 without a walk in four innings of work.
Castlewood’s Cody Rakow took the loss, allowing 10 earned runs on seven hits and six walks, while fanning nine in three innings.
Gregory County 16, Bennett County 6
GREGORY -- Rylan Peck was a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBIs to lead Gregory County past Bennett County Sunday.
Peck had three doubles as Gregory County had three innings of at least four runs in the win. Trey Murry was also 3-for-3 on two doubles and a triple, while scoring four runs. Gunner Stephens knocked in three RBIs, while Kade Braun, Nathan Fortuna, Rhoss Oliver, Zach Eklund and Reed Benter each drove in a run.
Gregory County (2-1) hosts St. Thomas More Sunday.
