The Alexandria Angels topped the Mitchell Mad Dogs 12-2 in a Sunshine League amateur baseball game on Tuesday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.
Cory Marek earned the win on the mound for Alexandria. Marek allowed two unearned runs off three hits with six strikeouts in six innings pitched.
Peyton Smith had two hits and three RBIs, while Cole Wenande added two hits and four RBIs and Jerrod Zens went 2-for-3 in the win.
For Mitchell, Cody Palmer took the loss. Palmer allowed six runs off five hits in 5 and 2/3 innings pitched.
Gramm Johnson went 1-2 for the Mad Dogs and Palmer added a hit and a run scored in the loss.

Alexandria (6-0, 5-0 SL) plays Mount Vernon at 8 p.m. on Thursday in Mount Vernon. Mitchell plays Winner-Colome on Sunday in Winner.
Parkston Mudcats 16, Mount Vernon 3
MOUNT VERNON-Fueled by 19 hits, the Parkston Mudcats downed Mount Vernon 16-3 in seven innings in a Sunshine League amateur baseball game on Tuesday in Mount Vernon.
Matt Malloy went 5-for-6 with three RBIs and a home run, while Jeff Harris added three hits and four RBIs in the win. Brady Nolz went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Red Welch added a double for the Mudcats.
Dillion Stadlman earned the win for the Mudcats. Stadlman allowed three runs off six hits with six strikeouts in seven innings pitched.
For Mount Vernon, Owen London took the loss. London allowed nine runs off nine hits in two innings pitched.
Chase Hetland had two hits and RBI, while Matt Larson scored two runs for the Mustangs.
The Mudcats (4-4, 3-2 SL) play Dimock-Emery at 8 p.m. on Thursday in Emery. Mount Vernon (5-2, 3-1 SL) plays Alexandria at 8 p.m. on Thursday in Mount Vernon.
