MILLER -- Plankinton turned 26 hits into 29 runs during a Saturday doubleheader at Miller. The Bankers left with two Pony Hills League wins, a 14-1 Game 1 win in seven innings and 15-0 victory in four innings.
In the first game, Plankinton didn’t score until the third inning, but then scored three runs in the third and tacked on 11 runs in the final three frames. Alex Loes hit a two-run blast, finishing 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs. Chris Hill recorded three hits and drove in three runs. Cole Knippling and Travis Gant each had two hits, while Gant and Orric Earl both drove in two runs. The Bankers had 16 hits.
On the mound, Josh Engquist struck out 14 batters over a seven-inning start. He held Miller to three hits and an earned run.
Casey Schlechter took the loss for the Outlaws, allowing 14 runs (12 earned) and striking out six batters. He also doubled and homered, which gave Miller a 1-0 first-inning lead.
In Game 2, Plankinton took an early lead. It scored five runs in each of the first two innings and led 14-0 after the third. Knippling hit a grand slam, while Jesse Grosdidier hit a double and Engquist tripled. Josh Geppert finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Engquist and Ryan Urban both drove in two runs, as well.

Ryland DeVries didn’t allow a hit in his four-inning start. He fanned seven batters, holding Miller to one hit. Dustin Harvey gave up 10 earned runs in two innings to take the loss.
Plankinton (7-3, 6-1 Pony Hills) plays South Central on Thursday at Cadwell Park. Miller (0-4, 0-4 Pony Hills) travels to Chamberlain on Thursday.
Tabor 3, Lesterville 2
TABOR -- Prestin White hit a walk-off single on Friday to send Tabor past Lesterville in South Central League action.
White’s single scored Joey Slama, who went 2-for-4. Chase Kortan also had two hits, as Tabor finished with eight hits as a team. Bryce Scieszinski earned the win by throwing four shutout innings to close the game. Lesterville finished with 10 hits.
Tabor (7-1, 6-1 South Central) travels to Crofton (Neb.) on Tuesday. Lesterviole (4-1, 4-1 South Central) travels to Menno on Tuesday.
KWL 4, Four Corners 3
KIMBALL -- Kimball/White Lake’s Zak Wallner went the distance, striking out 20 batters in the Nationals’ Pony Hills League win over Four Corners on Thursday.
Brian Zeman homered for the Nationals. Wesley Kroupa, Dylanger Pierson and Caden Lenz each drove in a run, as well.
For Four Corners, Josh Davies allowed four earned runs in 5.1 innings to take the loss. J.D. Farley threw 2.2 shutout innings in relief. Andrew McCloud homered and Brad Hand had two hits and an RBI.

Kimball/White Lake (4-1, 4-1 Pony Hills) plays Plankinton on June 28 in White Lake. 4 Corners (1-3, 1-3 Pony Hills) travels to Colome Thursday.
