PLATTE-Alexandria held Platte hitless for a 10-0 Sunshine League victory in seven innings on Thursday in Platte.

Tyson Gau picked up the win for the Angles. Gau didn't allow a hit in five innings pitched with five strikeouts.

Jordan Gau led the Alexandria offense with three hits and two RBIs, while Thomas Gulledge added two hits and two RBIs.

Richard Sternberg took the loss for Platte, allowing 10 runs off 11 hits with six strikeouts in seven innings pitched.

Alexandria (3-0, 2-0 SL) plays Dimock-Emery at 5 p.m. on Sunday in Emery. Platte plays Mount Vernon at 7 p.m. on Sunday in Mount Vernon.

Mount Vernon 13, Mitchell 2

The Mount Vernon Mustangs used an eight-run first inning to dominate the Mitchell Mad Dogs 13-2 on Thursday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.

Cameron Deinert was 4-for-4 with four RBIs for Mount Vernon, while Deric Denning picked up the win after tossing three innings.

Casey Hofer took the loss on the mound, allowing 13 runs (12 earned) in 6.2 innings of work.

PLANKINTON-The Plankinton Bankers picked up their first win of the season by beating Kimball/White Lake 5-2 in a non-league game on Thursday in Plankinton.

Travis Gant earned the win for the Bankers. Gant allowed two runs, one earned, off eight hits with 10 strikeouts in six innings pitched. Chris Hill led the Banker offense with two doubles, two singles and two RBIs.

Kimball/White Lake finished the game with 10 hits, one error and 10 runners left of base.

Plankinton (1-4) plays Armour in the Pony Hills league opener on Thursday in Plankinton.

Winner/Colome 6, Corsica-Stickney 3

WINNER-Winner/Colome earned a 6-3 victory over Corsica-Stickney on Thursday in Winner. J.J. Farner led Winner/Colome with two hits-a double and triple. Tarell Bauld picked up the win, as he pitched a complete game and recorded 10 strikeouts.

Luke Bamberg had two runs and a double for Corsica-Stickney, while Nathan Bloom took the loss in five innings of work.

Winner/Colome (3-1, 2-1 SL) takes on Dimock-Emery on Thursday in Winner, while Corsica-Stickney (1-2, 0-2 SL) faces Mitchell at 8 p.m. on Sunday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.

Dimock-Emery 11, Madison 2

MADISON-Dimock-Emery defeated Madison 11-2 in a non-league game on Thursday in Madison.
