All-tournament teams named for South Dakota state amateur baseball

MITCHELL — The South Dakota Amateur Baseball Association announced the all-tournament teams following the state amateur tournament.

Dalton Lehnen of the back-to-back champion Del Rapids Mudcats took home the tournament MVP for Class B after going 2-0 on the mound with two saves and 26 strikeouts in 18 innings and adding five RBIs on a .313 average at the plate. Sioux Falls Flying Squirrels’ Connor Hurley won the MVP award for Class A.

Here are the rest of the selections to the all-tournament teams.

Class B Selections

Alexandria Angels: Jordan Gau, Pierce Smith and Tyson Gau

Dell Rapids Mudcats: Chad Hunt, Dalton Allen, Dalton Lehnen (MVP), Kris Regas and Weston Hansen

Dimock/Emery Raptors: Jason Schmidt and Phil Johnson

Garretson Bluejays: Aaron LaBrie, Jesse Brockhouse and Nick Bonte
