ALEXANDRIA -- The Alexandria Angels recorded 13 hits in its 14-0, seven-inning Sunshine League win over Wagner on Sunday.

Alexandria scored seven runs in the sixth, which included RBI singles from Billy Hamilton, Reid Smith, Cole Wenande and Chris Marek, who went 3-for-3 with five RBIs. Peyton Smith went 3-for-5 with an RBI and Tyson Gau went 2-for-3. Jordan Gau drove in a pair of runs during his 1-for-2 day. Trever Vermeulen struck out eight over six shutout innings in the win.

For Wagner, Drew Soukup had two hits, while Derek Soukup and Alex Kocer each had a hit. Austin Loes allowed 11 runs (eight earned), eight hits and eight walks in his five-inning start.

Alexandria (12-1, 10-1 Sunshine League) travels to Platte on Sunday. Wagner (3-7 Sunshine League) hosts Winner/Colome on Sunday.
