DELL RAPIDS-Dell Rapids defeated Alexandria 14-4 in eight innings in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday in Dell Rapids.
Dell Rapids score runs in five of eight innings and finished the game with 15 hits.
Wyatt Kayser took the loss for Alexandria Post 41. Kayser allowed 10 runs, eight runs on 14 hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings pitched.
Cade Schmidt went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Kayser added one hit and two RBIs. Aaron Wenande scored three runs in the loss for Alexandria.
Alexandria (1-3) plays Lennox at 7 p.m. on Friday in Lennox.
