Turnovers proved costly in Mitchell Christian's 37-33 loss to Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Thursday in Mitchell.

"The girls played a hard fought game and came up short in the end," Mitchell Christian head coach Jackie Van Laecken said. "One less turnover and a defensive stop may have been enough for us to come out with a win. We were very proud of the team effort and the never give up attitude."

Abbie Reynen led Mitchell with 12 points and six steals, while Kelsey Thompson added 10 points in the effort.

Meanwhile, Ahna Vander Pol led ACDC with 11 points and seven rebounds. Annalyssa Houseman contributed 10 points in the win.

Mitchell Christian (3-6) takes on Corsica-Stickney on Monday in Mitchell, while ACDC (7-2) faces Dell Rapids at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell at the Hanson Girls Classic.
