SIOUX FALLS-The Mitchell Aquatic Club swam at the South Dakota short course State A Championship meet on Friday through Sunday, coming away with numerous top-three finishes across multiple age groups.

In the boys 9-10 year-old division, MAC's 200-yard medley relay team finished in second. Ethan Plamp had a pair of second-place finishes, too, in the 100 and 200 IM. Owen Raml took second in the 200 free and third in the 50 and 100 fly and 100 free.

MAC picked up four top-three relay finishes in the boys 15-19 age group. It took second in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay. MAC's 200 medley relay team also placed third.

Caleb Swanson had a successful day in the boys 15-16 division. He won the 200 IM (1:59.34), 400 IM (4:14.40), 100 fly (52.71) and 200 fly (2:00.33). He also notched second place in the 100 and 200 back, while placing third in the 200 free.

In the boys 17-19 division, Jay Paulson took third in the 200 IM, while Ethan Huber took second in the 100 and 200 back, as well as the 200 free. Huber took third in the 100 and 200 breast, too.

Kip Wede, who competed in the boys 8-and-under division, finished in third in both the 25 and 50 breast. Lukas Bennett took second in the 100 and 200 fly competing in the boys 13-14 division.

On the girls side, MAC placed second in the 200 and 400 medley relays in the 13-14 division, while taking third in the 400 free relay.

In the 17-19 age group, Cailey Scott won the 1650 free (18:10.80), 100 back (1:00.54) and 200 back (2:12.29). She finished second in the 100 fly and 500 free.

Jayda Walton, in the 13-14 division, took second in the 100 fly, 50, 100 free and 200 free. Kambyl Wede won the girls 9-10 200 IM (2:48.17) and 100 IM (1:18.77). Maryssa Gehrke (girls 13-14) placed third in 1650 free, while Dani Norden (17-19) and Sophia Huber (11-12) did the same in the 400 IM and 200 free, respectively.
