Area basketball roundup: Menning scores 1,000th point in C-S win

WAGNER—Courtney Menning scored 20 points during Class B No. 4 Corsica-Stickney's 63-46 girls basketball win over Wagner on Saturday to surpass 1,000 for her career. The senior also added six steals.

Corsica-Stickney (6-0): Avery Broughton had a double-double in the win, posting 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Raven Barse added 10 points and nine boards. The Jaguars play Platte-Geddes today, in Platte.

Wagner (1-5): Kayli Kocer led Wagner with 14 points in defeat and Bella LeBeaux added 12 points. The Red Raiders host Gregory on Tuesday.
