Five Red Raiders named to the LMVC all-conference squad

The Little Missouri Valley Conference released its postseason all-conference team on Wednesday, with conference champion Wagner placing five players on the team.

The Red Raiders went 6-0 in LMVC play this season and were rewarded for it as Abby Brunsing, Maesa Dvorak, Kirstyn Roth and Faith Tyler were named all-conference performers.

Brunsing, a sophomore, led Wagner with 371 kills, while Faith Tyler had 352 kills and a team-high 421 digs during her senior season. Roth, a senior libero, was second on the team with 373 digs and Dvorak led the squad with 58 blocks.

After going 5-1 in conference play, Avon secured four players on the all-conference team in with Madisyn Cameron, Lauren Sees and KaCee Zacharias.

Zacharias had led the Pirates in kills (211) and was second in digs (368), while Sees had 148 kills and a team-best 432 digs. Cameron handed out 555 assists and came up with 302 digs this year.

The Andes Central/Dakota Christian tandem of Brianna Deurmier and Tyra Medicine Horn also made the team after leading the Thunder to a 4-2 record in conference matches.

Ciera Himes (Bon Homme), Bella Vitek (Scotland), Matti Reiner (Tripp-Delmont/Armour) and Brenna Walz (Parkston) round out the LMVC all-conference team.
