CHESTER-The Chester Challenge featured a matchup of two of the top four teams in Class B on Saturday, as No. 2 Warner swept No. 4 Ethan in three sets, 25-22, 25-17 and 25-14.

Warner (25-2): Ashley Fischbach came up with a match-high 18 kills, while also adding three blocks and two aces to win MVP of the match. Laurie Rogers also had 11 kills and four blocks, while Peyton Fisher handed out 32 assists. Laura Oschner and Sydney Leidholt had 15 and 14 digs, respectively. The Monarchs host Redfield/Doland on Tuesday.

Ethan (20-4): Jessica Bartscher had a strong performance in defeat, recording 20 assists and 17 digs. Jada Plastow had eight kills, while Mollie Miiller had seven and Maddie Miiller pitched in 20 digs. The Rustlers host Howard on Tuesday.

Burke 3, TDA 0

BURKE-Burke toppled Tripp-Delmont/Armour in Great Plains Conference action Saturday to win its 15th consecutive match, 25-6, 25-10 and 25-9.

Burke (20-5): Taylee Indahl had a strong all-around performance, posting 11 digs, 10 kills and five aces, while Bobbi Jo Wischmann had 17 assists and five aces. Lahna Matucha had a match-high 11 kills, nine digs and four aces. Lainee Schonebaum also had 12 digs. The Cougars host Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Tuesday.

TDA (3-14): Matti Reiner led the way with six kills and four digs, while Ashlee Gerber pitched in four kills and four digs in defeat. Bailey Spaans also had 11 digs. The Nighthawks travel to Scotland on Thursday.

Winner 3, Arlington 1

CHESTER-Class A No. 3 Winner ran through Arlington in four sets to win its ninth match in a row as part of the Chester Challenge on Saturday, 25-14, 22-25, 25-16 and 25-19.

Winner (18-1): Morgan Hammerbeck was all over the court, coming up with 27 digs and 13 kills to earn MVP of the match. Abby Marts had a team-high 19 kills, while Mackenzie Levi and Addy Root had 22 and 21 assists, respectively. Maggie LaCompte had 25 digs and three aces. The Warriors travel to Chamberlain on Tuesday.

Arlington (18-5): Marissa Baker dished out 40 assists and served up three aces. Jayna Haufschild had a match-high 20 kills and 14 digs and Hadley Carlson added 16 kills and 22 digs. Jeryn Christensen also had a match-high 38 digs. The Cardinals play Sioux Valley on Tuesday in Volga.

Wagner 3, Deubrook Area 0

CHESTER-Wagner won its seventh consecutive match, sweeping Deubrook Area in Saturday's Chester Challenge, 25-23, 27-25 and 25-21.

Wagner (18-3): Faith Tyler had a match-best 16 kills and 14 digs to earn MVP honors for the match, while Lizzie Tyler added 18 assists, 13 digs and two aces. Abby Brunsing had 14 kills and 15 digs, Kirstyn Roth pitched in 17 digs and Emilea Cimpl had 17 assists in the win. The Red Raiders play Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Monday in Mount Vernon.

Deubrook Area (15-8): Ashley Vandermeer had 26 digs, 14 kills and four blocks and Shaylee DeBeer added 14 kills and 14 assists. Andrea Vandermeer had 13 digs and three blocks in defeat. The Dolphins play Dell Rapids on Tuesday in White.

AC/DC 3, Platte-Geddes 0

NEW HOLLAND-Andes Central/Dakota Christian snapped a three-match winning streak by Platte-Geddes on Saturday in three sets, 25-23, 25-18 and 25-19.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian (13-6): Brianna Deurmier had a big match, dishing out 26 assists, while also coming up with a match-best 16 digs and four kills. Isabel Pheifer pitched in 14 kills and nine digs, while Mackenzie Muckey added 14 digs, 11 kills and four aces. The Thunder travel to Burke on Tuesday.

Platte-Geddes (9-11): Tori Weins had seven kills, four blocks, three digs and two aces in the loss, while Sawyer Naasz added nine digs and seven kills. Courtney Neuman also handed out 15 assists and served up two aces. The Black Panthers travel to Miller on Tuesday.
