MOUNT VERNON-Class 11B No. 3 Mount Vernon/Plankinton remained undefeated after a 40-12 victory over Chamberlain on Friday in Mount Vernon.

Jesse Hastings racked up 326 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries for MVP. Hayden Haak used seven carries to pick up 110 yards on the ground, scoring one touchdown, while Colton Tobin ran for 69 yards and Weston Tobin ran for 60 yards. MVP finished with 570 total rushing yards in the win. Hunter Pranger had 9.5 tackles for the Titans.

For Chamberlain, Jazz Dominguez completed 13 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns, while Issac Hawk rushed for 22 yards. Brant Gullickson tallied 88 yards and two touchdowns on three catches. Collin Powell racked up 10 solo tackles, while Nash Hutmacher had eight solo tackles.

AVON-Mason Dennis' big game powered Scotland to a 46-20 road win over Avon Friday.

Dennis completed eight passes, finishing with 190 yards and three touchdowns in the air for Scotland. Dennis also used six carries to rush for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Ty Mogck caught two touchdown passes for a total of 118 yards.

For Avon, Riley Rucktaeschel threw for 94 yards and one touchdown, while Lincoln Thury ran for 69 yards and one touchdown. Ashton Frank picked up 34 receiving yards on two catches.

FREEMAN-While Class 9A No. 2 Canistota/Freeman built a nice lead through the first three quarters, the Pride came alive in the fourth quarter and put up four touchdowns to close out the game against Hanson Friday night.

It was Canistota/Freeman's backfield that carried the offensive load against the Beavers, as Austin Thu ran for 166 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.

Canistota/Freeman quarterback Trey Ortman provided an offensive spark behind center, rushing for two touchdowns and throwing for 93 yards and a touchdown pass in the game.

CORSICA-Class 9B No. 2 Colome used a 46-point first half to cruise to a 60-8 win over Corsica-Stickney on Friday, defeating the Jaguars via the 50-point rule.

Jackson Kinzer led Colome's rushing attack with 197 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries, while Riley Shippy chipped in 52 rushing yards and two scores. Kinzer also threw for a touchdown and 27 yards in the win. Beau Bertram and Wyatt Cahoy both had seven tackles for the Cowboys.

Caysen Eide rushed eight times for 31 yards for the Jaguars. Jaden Barse and Kalym Hargens both had five tackles, while Bradyn Denning added four in the loss.

For the Tigers, Michael Hofer used 13 carries to rack up 102 yards and three touchdowns. Zach Pardy rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts, and Paul Winker caught a 17-yard touchdown pass. Isaac Feldhaus finished 5-for-6, passing for 71 yards and one touchdown.

For Chester, Alex Tammen gained 79 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. Tammen also had four receptions for 25 yards.

The Tigers (5-2) host Viborg-Hurley on Friday. The Flyers (1-6) play Menno/Marion on Friday in Marion.

PLATTE-Kimball White Lake used their ground game to cruise past Platte-Geddes, as the WiLdKats produced 217 rushing yards on Friday night.

Caden Lenz only needed three carries to rush for a game-high 131 yards for KWL, while scoring two touchdowns in the win. Alongside Lenz doing damage in the backfield, it was Carter Fredericksen that helped carry the offensive load the rest of the night, rushing for 67 yards on nine carries.

Kade Starr provided the lone touchdown for Platte-Geddes, as he threw for 55 yards and rushed for 48 more.
