Canova lands three players on all-tournament team

SIOUX FALLS—The 2018 Class B amateur baseball all-tournament team was announced on Tuesday, headlined by Class B finalists Canova and Flandreau both landing three members on the team.

The Class B champion Canova Gang had Justin Miller, Garrett Gassman and tournament MVP Trey Krier make the team, while Flandreau's Riley Johnson, Bret Severtson and Zach Weinandt were also included.

The three batting champions in Cole Wenande, of Alexandria, Justin White, of Harrisburg, and Jesse Brockhouse, of Garretson, all landed on the team, as well. Pitcher Trever Vermeulen was the other Angel to make the team.

Miller/Wessington and Parkston were the only other teams to have multiple members as Juan Sabilier and Cody Cotton represented the Outlaws, and Brady Nolz and Jake Weber made it for the Mudcats.

The all-tournament team was rounded out by Brett Mogen, of Madison, Tyler Edler, of Lesterville, Larchwood's Taylor Morris and Clark's Lane Hovde.
