DWU soccer teams picked 10th in GPAC preseason polls
SIOUX CITY, Iowa—Hastings College totaled 120 points for first place in the 2018 Great Plains Athletic Conference Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches Poll. The Broncos garnered 10 of 12 first-place votes.
Concordia was picked second with 108 points and two first-place votes, while Midland was third with 92 points.
Dakota Wesleyan was picked 10th in the polls, garnering 34 points after finishing last season with a 4-13 (1-8 GPAC). The Tigers open the season at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Lake Superior Community College in Duluth, Minnesota.
Hastings College was also picked atop the women's polls, with 138 points for first place in the 2018 GPAC Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches Poll. The Broncos received six of 13 first-place votes.
Concordia, was again picked second with 133 points and five first place votes, while Midland was picked third with 124 points and two first-place votes. The University of Jamestown, in its first year as GPAC members, was picked fourth with 107 points.
The Tigers were selected to finish 10th out of 13 teams, picking up 45 points in the preseason poll. Dakota Wesleyan starts the season at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lake Superior Community College.
