NSU's Fredrickson announces retirement

ABERDEEN—Northern State University women's basketball coach Curt Fredrickson announced his retirement on Tuesday after 39 seasons with the Wolves. Fredrickson retires with an 846-306 record.

In his final season with the Wolves, Fredrickson won a share of both the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division and NSIC Overall Championships. The Wolves qualified for their fifth straight NCAA Central Region Tournament.

Fredrickson guided NSU to two NAIA national championships in the 1990's. He is a member of four hall of fames (Northern State University, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, NAIA and South Dakota). He has been named the NSIC Coach of the Year on seven occasions.
