Miller, Jackrabbits pound Pioneers

BROOKINGS — Macy Miller scored a game-high 20 points to power the South Dakota State University women's basketball team over Denver 95-59 on Thursday in Brookings.

The former Mitchell Kernel was 8-of-11 from the field and pulled down five rebounds, while Madison Guebert added 16 points. Tagyn Larson and Tylee Irwin each tossed in 13 points and Alexis Alexander finished with 10 points.

SDSU jumped out to a 24-9 lead after the first quarter and led by as many as 38 points in the fourth quarter. Denver was led by Carie Weinman's 16 points.

SDSU (20-5, 9-1 Summit League) plays Oral Roberts at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Brookings.
