Area basketball roundup: Huskies handle Gorilla boys

Three players scored in double figures to power No. 2 Bridgewater-Emery to a 63-40 boys basketball win over Gregory on Saturday at the Corn Palace.

Bridgewater-Emery (12-3): Duot VanSickle powered the Huskies with 18 points. Sawyer Schultz netted 14 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed eight rebounds. Jamin Arend added 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Cole Gassman finished with eight points. Up next: The Huskies host Canton today in Emery.

Gregory (6-9): Aaron Voigt had eight points, while Max Klundt and Jayd VanDerWerff scored seven points apiece. Up next: The Gorillas host Scotland on Friday.
