Adams, Turner named NAIA AP All-Americans

Dakota Wesleyan University's record-setting quarterback and wide receiver tandem picked up another honor on Friday.

Quarterback Dillon Turner and wide receiver Hayden Adams were named to the Associated Press NAIA All-America football teams. Adams was a first-team selection, while Turner was a second-team honoree.

Adams hauled in 81 catches for 1,472 yards and 18 touchdowns in his senior season with the Tigers. He finished his career as the school's all-time leader in career receiving yards (3,243), receiving yards in a season and receptions in a season. Earlier in the week, Adams was named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America First Team.

Turner, a two-time Great Plains Athletic Conference offensive player of the year, finished his senior season with 3,400 passing yards, 926 rushing yards, 48 total touchdowns. Turner owns the conference records for passing yards in a career with 10,704 yards and passing touchdowns in a career with 115. Turner also ranks third on the DWU all-time list in career rushing yards with 3,215 yards.
