BROOKINGS — South Dakota State University led by 21 at halftime and cruised to a Summit League victory on Saturday at home.
The Jackrabbits defeated Denver 80-62 and were led in scoring by Alex Arians, who had a career-high 19 points.

Luke Appel had 12 points and Baylor Scheierman and Douglas Wilson each had 11 for SDSU, which picked up its 15th win of the year. The team is 6-0 in Summit League play.
Denver (6-14, 2-5 Summit) was led by K.J. Hunt, who had 18 points.
The Jackrabbits are back in action Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, against St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
