Two new advertisements in the span of a week and a ratcheting up of attacks focused on record mean it just might be election season.
In a public back-and-forth announcing the debate, scheduled for Sept. 30 in Rapid City, the gubernatorial candidates previewed some lines of attack to watch when they meet on stage.
The two-term Sioux Falls Democratic representative dinged Gov. Noem for appraiser scandal and out-of-state fundraisers in making his case for a leadership change in Pierre.
PIERRE -- Legislative committees rushed to clear their calendars this week before the bell tolled, with Friday, Feb. 22, having been the deadline for bills to leave committee on their side of origin.
