Letter: Why you must defend this strong presidency

To the Editor:

House Democratic “impeach-him” leadership continues their anti-Constitutional maneuvers to paralyze not only the presidency but now even the Senate. Passing articles of impeachment but refusing to send them to the Senate until some later time, thus tying up and blackmailing the Senate, stinks of British parliamentary games. There, prime ministers are out as soon as they lose a Commons majority.

President Trump calls it an “attempted coup.” He’s right. In a letter confronting Speaker Nancy Pelosi, he states: “House Democrats are trying to impeach the duly elected President of the United States for asserting Constitutionally based privileges that have been asserted on a bipartisan basis by administrations of both political parties throughout our Nation’s history… It’s your abuse of power.”

Trump has strongly reasserted the power of the presidency foreseen by the founders, particularly Hamilton and Washington, as essential to a Republic. That includes the power and authority not only to conduct foreigh policy, but to articulate and carry out long-term missions of peace and prosperity, including visions for technology breakthroughs and exploration of space, in cooperation and competition with other powers.

American System economist Lyndon LaRouche worked to strengthen and shape this vision of the Presidency — why the Constitution defined a Hamiltonian credit system for economic growth, not a London-style monetarist system.

For 45 years, we have been increasingly de-farmed, de-industrialized and de-moralized because the British broke up FDR’s credit system and imposed “free trade.”

For nearly 30 years, we have been enmired in disastrous “endless wars,” because both parties believe in British geopolitics. A financial breakdown worse than that of 2008 looms, because the City of London and Wall Street control economic policy.

British MI6 launched this now years-long attempted coup against Trump, and our intelligence agencies and mainstream media joined in. These traitors don’t want to allow (any) president to cooperate with Russia or China or end the wars. They don’t want to allow (this) president to handle a financial crisis, because a strong President could adopt LaRouche’s Glass Steagall and national credit policies.

Defend the presidency! Work for LaRouche’s Four Laws to Save the Nation.
