Letter: Pay attention to what Republicans are doing
I realize we don’t have COVID here as bad as other places, but why wait to get the vaccine and take the chance of dying? It’s been proven over and over to be safe and it reduces the risk of being hospitalized if you do get a breakthrough case.
To the Editor:
The election was not stolen.
COVID is real and if you don’t get vaccinated, it will never go away.
Donald Trump is nothing but a high-class con man. Any money you send him will go directly into his pocket to pay his numerous legal bills, including money sent to the RNC.
Most important of all, Trump is a narcissist, a sociopath, and a pathological liar. At last count he was up to 35,000 lies since he took office. That does not include the numerous lies about the election being stolen since he left office. If he hadn’t lied so much about COVID, we would be in a much better place now. A lot more people would be alive now.
It breaks my heart to think of the hundreds of thousands that are dead because of his lies and denial.
How many Republicans did you vote for that are blocking any and all legislation that will help the common people instead of only the rich? They don’t call it Mitch McConnell’s graveyard for nothing.
It’s time to wake up and realize what the Republicans in office are doing to this country, number one killing you with lies about COVID. I can guarantee you that they are all vaccinated while they’re telling you not to get the shot. Even Trump got the vaccine but he’s too much of a chicken to tell you he did.
I realize we don’t have COVID here as bad as other places, but why wait to get the vaccine and take the chance of dying? It’s been proven over and over to be safe and it reduces the risk of being hospitalized if you do get a breakthrough case. Please help save the health care workers and yourself by getting vaccinated.
Just think about this. If Donald Trump had gotten his way and succeeded in overthrowing the election, we would be under the rule of a mad man dictator.
Editor’s note: Multiple Republicans, including all of South Dakota’s delegation — Rep. Dusty Johnson and Sens. John Thune and Mike Rounds — are on the record publicly encouraging everyone to get the COVID vaccine.
