To the Editor:
I could not believe the title on the front page of the March 26 edition of The Daily Republic. I listened to that press conference that you wrote about in which Gov. Kristi Noem didn’t answer questions but gave us hope and encouragement.
She encourages us each day to wash hands, stay home if ill and more. We hear the statistics every day and if you miss them you can easily go to the website that our governor repeats often. I thought this press conference was one of her best. Maybe you didn’t like it because of a quote from the Bible? She ended with “and the greatest of these is love” which is from II Cor 13:13. You didn’t even include the verse.
Instead of “Noem refuses questions as cases surge to 41” the headline should have been “Governor Noem encourages us to reflect on our blessings!”
