To the Editor:
An invisible virus is causing very visible issues. Nothing in the history of America has ever created a nearly total economic shut-down for most of the world.
Is it possible that the invisible power that is causing the world to come to its knees is much bigger and far more complex than the COVID-19 virus? Have you considered this pandemic may be the same power that brought pestilence and plagues to Egypt as described in Exodus, the second book of the Bible?
Webster defines pestilence as a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating. Today the non-Biblical word for pestilence is pandemic. The Bible mentions pestilence 48 times and all 48 references indicate it is a judgement from God.
Perhaps you are staying home from work, not because you are afraid of getting sick, but because God already got sick of the way the world is denying or ignoring their Creator.

Why pray when you can worry? On the other hand, if you are locked down and your action of choice has been to worry, but now you are getting sick of worrying, I have suggestions.
Shut off the media, read the book of Exodus in the Bible. It will only take you about a half hour each morning for the next week. Look for what God does to bring judgement on those who deny or ignore him. Write down any questions you have.
Next, turn on your media again and look on YouTube, Facebook, or on the website of one of our local churches. Find a local pastor who is broadcasting their sermon during this time while public worship is discouraged.
Easter is coming, and it has nothing to do with colored eggs and fictional rabbits. Come to church and learn about faith without fear because of the only man who overcame death, and made the only way that you can go to heaven.
