Letter: Beware of false prophets

To the Editor:

In churches, people are told to “beware of false prophets.” Throughout history, many false prophets have appeared, sometimes in a cult. In government we do not have a king to whom we swear loyalty but to the Constitution. Common talk today is the “Trump Cult” with the death of the Republican party.

Billy Graham was a hero of mine. His son, Franklin, fell far from the tree. He has said those who oppose Mr. Trump are demonic. I am a disciple of Jesus who defeated sin, death and the devil. I oppose Franklin’s false god and I trust the Spirit to keep me focused on Jesus.

Today we have a Ukraine issue in which Trump, Pence, Perry, Guilliani, Mulvaney, Pompeo and ala Trump, Barr are all involved. All roads lead to Putin. Behind the withholding of funds for Ukraine stand Putin/Russia to benefit in weakening Ukraine.

On the other side of the circle, all roads lead to Putin. In the Russia dealings, Moscow Mitch McConnell refused to let the public know of Russian hacking while Dems disagreed. In the subsequent stories with Russia, Moscow Mitch, I believe was involved in all of them — like the above in Ukraine.

Who is No. 2 behind Moscow Mitch? John Thune. John Thune and other “Trump Cult” were in Russia for a Fourth of July — and other Russia stories. And all roads lead where?

The odds of a fair impeachment in the Senate? Are you kidding? When the Constitution is tossed and cult lawlessness is the rule, we’ve got trouble. Moscow Mitch is also a coward and if he’s a Russian player he’s not going to expose himself. And? Congress has sent 275 bills to Moscow Mitch not touched by him — and he accuses Dems of doing nothing.

For faith, beware of false prophets. For the country, go for certain truth to keep our democracy, freedom and Constitution.
