To the Editor:
Trump has admitted to sexually assaulting women. Trump has insulted and mocked women, veterans, the disabled, and nearly every ethnic group imaginable. These are verifiable facts. Keep in mind that when you vote for Trump, you vote for every element of his personality. His presence on the national stage emboldens racists, sexists, and other bigots. His presence normalizes hatred and the rape culture.
Some think Clinton is a threat to the Second amendment. Trump has openly threatened the First, Fifth, Eighth, and 14th amendments on an open stage. It's not hard to see the bigger threat to our constitution.
But don't forget Noem and Thune. Both have declared that while they don't endorse Trump, or agree with what he says, they plan to vote for him. A vote is the greatest endorsement possible. They are hypocrites. They want to distance themselves from the hate while still voting for the hate.
If you side with Trump, keep in mind that they don't, they are just too cowardly to admit it. If you disagree with Trump, keep in mind that they are too cowardly to speak out. Do you want hypocritical cowards representing you on a national stage? I don't.
