To the Editor:
A few thoughts on protecting school children. The country of Israel protects its students with armed teachers and guards at the schools. There need to be armed guards and/or teachers here in America.
The president knows this, as his daughters attend school protected by armed guards. Hopefully there will never be another attack there because of the guards.
Do his daughters deserve more protection than the average student?
The courthouse is a gun-free zone, but no one gets excited to see our law enforcement officers walking around armed. Gun-free zones are the target of would-be attackers. Gun-protected areas are almost never attacked.

A serious problem deserves a solution that can fix the problem. This is not a Second Amendment issue. It is a failure to protect and defend the children in this time of terrorism.
