To the Editor:
At age 95, I've still always said I still have a lot of learning to do.
Today, I learned a valuable thing. I watched President George H.W. Bush's funeral and learned a great lesson. I didn't even know President Bush. I have been a Democrat most of my life. I never heard one good thing about this man. All ugly.
Now I know, don't listen to the ugliness you hear. Don't listen to a politician. And you know it occurred to me, don't listen to all the ugliness you hear about President Trump. He, too, is a good man, but to hear the opposite party talk, he is awful. Lies! I don't have to wait for him to die to know all these ugly things I hear are also lies.
Have we all lost touch with God? President Bush was a devoted Christian, went to the Presbyterian Church faithfully. Can't we begin to be what Jesus told us to be?
