Rick DeBoer, 55, died March 4, 2021, after years of illness and pain.

At his request, no service will be held. Instead, the family will have a celebration of his life on the weekend prior to what would have been his 56th birthday, July 11th, 2021 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock Texas at the Lakeview Pavilion, from 1 - 5pm, with food, drinks, and lots of music and stories to share.

Rick is survived by his wife, Paige. He was a proud daddy to his two daughters Breanna and Katelyn, and loved his title of “Pops” to his grandsons Cayden, Asher and Blaine. As well as good friends from the Mitchell area, Pat Smith, Kevin Wharton, Lynnette Chamley-Schilling and Eric Christensen to name a few.

Rick was born in July 1965 in Sioux Fall, SD. Son of Robert DeBoer and Sandy Keenan (RIP). Brothers and sisters, Mike (Carolyn) DeBoer, Tammy Stemper and Candy (Gary) Scott (RIP). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and numerous special friends. He relocated to Texas at the age of 15, and never looked back.

He was a NASCAR fan, a Raiders fan, and an active man back in the day. He loved to play golf with his brother Mike, he bowled in a league, and played as much softball as he could, but when his girls started to play, well, then it was all coaching and cheering. He loved to watch his girls play ball! He would consider himself their biggest fan, and he was looking forward to watching his grandsons play ball, and becoming their greatest fan.

Even though his failing body took him away from his family, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all who knew and loved him.

We look forward to seeing all of his friends and family at his celebration of life.
