Reva Grace (Van Camp) Gregg passed peacefully of natural causes on

Monday December 28, 2020.

Reva grew up on a farm in Drayton, North Dakota, the oldest of 4 children and graduated from high school in Grafton ND. On October 26, 1947, she married Robert Gregg. After their first son Robert Jr was born, the family relocated to Omaha, NE where two daughters, Laury and Suzann, were born.

Bob became a certified flight instructor and moved the family to Mitchell, South Dakota, in 1959, where they started Gregg Aviation. Two sons, Jody and Kelly, were born in Mitchell. Bob died in a plane crash in 1967 so Reva often held several jobs simultaneously in order to provide for her family.

In 1985, Reva moved to Drayton to care for her aging mother until her death, returning to Mitchell in 1991. With failing vision, Reva moved to Columbia, Maryland, in 2006, under the care of her daughters Laury & Suzie until her passing.

In addition to spending time with family, Reva loved genealogy, sewing, photography, and music, especially singing in church choir and playing piano.

Reva was preceded in death by her parents (Alton and Gladys Van Camp), by two of her younger brothers (Lorne and Carl Van Camp), and by her husband (Robert Gregg). She is survived by her remaining brother (Raymond Van Camp), all five of her children (Robert Jr (Barb), Laury (Billy), Suzann (Joe), Jody (Becci) and Kelly (Kim)), 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

No immediate services are scheduled. A celebration of Reva’s life is being planned in Mitchell for the summer of 2021. Her ashes will be placed next to her husband at that time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church, 500 E 5th Ave, Mitchell, South Dakota 57301.
