Tim “Rubes” Schmidt, 59, of Mitchell passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Avera Queen of Peace hospital in Mitchell, SD. A visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Will Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life to follow at Dr. Lucky’s.

Survivors include his wife; Kris (Nygaard) Schmidt, brothers; Bob (Linda) Schmidt, Fort Mahove, AZ, David Schmidt Mitchell, SD, sisters; Carol (Mark) Wilant, Appleton, WI, Connie (Dan Allen) Gallup, Barrington, IL, Diane Duvall, Ft. Collins, CO, Janet (Mel) Sedlacek, Yankton, SD, Valerie Schmidt, Des Moines, IA, 10 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law, Lynn (Lance) Bauske, Valley Springs, SD.
