Parkston - Ralph Thuringer, 87, died Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 am, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Ralph was born January 17, 1935 to William and Emma (Weber) Thuringer in Douglas County, SD. He enjoyed fishing and collecting beer signs. He loved to attend car shows where he received many trophies.

He is survived by a sister, MarJo Vilhauer of Parkston and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a son, Brad Thuringer of Sioux Falls, SD; a grandson, Tyler Thuringer of Watertown, SD; great-grandson, Kamden Thuringer of Watertown; and 2 granddaughters, AlexisThuringer of Brookings, SD and Dr. Kenzie Thuringer and fiancee Dr. Kyle Bagnell of Palson, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma; and 5 siblings: Luverne (Lois) Thuringer, Betty (Albin) Roth, Norman (Mary) Thuringer, Carola Thuringer, and Jean (James) Horstman;
