Pamela “Pam” Kiner Munsen


Pamela “Pam” Kiner Munsen, 70, of Mitchell, SD, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, October 9, from 5-8:00 PM at the Moose Lodge in Mitchell with a prayer service at 6 PM. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Pamela Kiner Munsen was born June 2, 1952, to Lyle and Theresa (Saukerson) Fuerst. Pam grew up in Mitchell, and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1970.

Pam was united in marriage to Joe Kiner in 1974, and to this union, Karli was born in 1975. Pam married Gary Munsen in 1993.

Throughout her life, Pam worked at the Methodist Hospital, Legion, Moonlight, The Plaza, and owned the Cactus from 1988 to 2002.

Pam enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and football pools. She also enjoyed attending the Rodeo Parade and chili cookoffs. Pam cherished her memories of traveling to Vegas in the 70s with her parents and Monica, and her travels with her sister, Vickie, to Hawaii and Vegas. She loved a good glass of wine, her plants, Polka dancing, posting on Facebook, and being in charge. Most of all, Pam loved spending time with her friends and family.

Pam is survived by her daughter, Karli (Tony) Kiner Toliver; mother, Theresa Fuerst; grandchildren, Antony Toliver, Zach Toliver, Heather Toliver, Jadyn Toliver, Dre Toliver, Nevaeh Toliver, and Lexie Grochow; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Gary (Karen) Fuerst, Monica Evers, Tammy (Laren) Fuerst, and Vickie (Neil) Hague; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
