Dorothy (Kummer) Osak, 79, died January 17, 2023. She was born Oct. 9, 1943 at home at Parkston, S.D. Services were held in Visalia, California.

Dorothy attended Parkston High School and Mount Marty Convent in Yanktan, S.D. After leaving college she was a lab technician in (Ingesten) Michigan.

She married Bill Osak and they settled in Visalia, California. Two sons were born, Brian (Jenna) Osak, and Rob Osak lives in Visalia.

Dorothy is preceded in death by parents; sister Elizabeth Degen, infant nephew Tommy Degen, brothers Anthony Jr., Norman (Shirley, Kummer; Paul Kummer, Florian Kummer, nephew Danny Bigge, and Douglas Bigge and niece (infant) Kathryn Bigge, Louis (Joyce) Kummer.

Surviors are Duane (Dianna) Kummer, Teresa, C. Bigge, Marlene Olson, Jeanne Hegg, Carol Long, Lorraine Kummer. Mary relatives and friends.
