Brian J. Peterson

Brian J. Peterson, 49, of Slayton, Minn., passed away to be with his Savior, Monday, Aug. 1, 2022. Sanford Medical Center attended him tirelessly after his motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at Lake Sarah Baptist Church, rural Slayton, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, at the church. Brian was born Nov. 24, 1972, in Mitchell to Delbert and Marie (Luebke) Peterson. He attended Mount Vernon Public School, graduating in 1991. During his youth Brian trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of his sin. He graduated from SDSU, receiving his R.N. degree, and later a CRNA degree from Mayo Medical Center, Rochester, Minn. He was currently dedicated to serving at Murray County Medical Center in Slayton as well as the Southwest Orthopedics and Sports Medical Clinic in Marshall, Minn.

Brian married Angela Hennrich on July 26, 1996. They were blessed with four children: Jack, Rochester, Minn.; Charles, Sioux Falls; and Megan and Laura at home. Also survived by his parents, two sisters, Tanna Miller and Alan of Vermillion, SD, Marilynn Hansen and Scott of Sioux Falls. His twin brother, Brad Peterson and wife Christa of Platte, SD.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Emma Luebke and Edwin and Ella Peterson.
