Marie C. Erpenbach was born January 24, 1920 in Ethan, SD to John and Anna (Bowar) Erpenbach. She graduated from Ethan High School. She married Edward H. Roth of Parkston, SD on October 14, 1940.

Marie had a zest for life that inspired everyone that knew her. She relished her experiences living around the country with Ed. She jumped into any adventure with her grandsons and great grandchildren whether it was playing miniature golf for the first time and getting a hole-in-one or visiting a winery on her 95th birthday and charming everyone she encountered. Marie enjoyed traveling and was ready to go at the drop of a hat especially if it was visiting her grandsons and great grandchildren. Marie cherished the times visiting and playing cards with friends and family. She will be especially missed by her daughters, family and her special friend Urban Schoenfelder.

Marie is survived by her daughters Beverly Lonski and Gloria Gilfert both of Kansas City, MO; grandsons Tom (Debbie) Lonski of Denver, CO, Mike (Tracy) Lonski of Richmond, VA, Richard (Beth) Lonski of Olathe, KS, and Dennis (Jen) Wegner of Olathe, KS; great grandchildren: Hannah Lonski and Nate Lonski of Denver, and Alexis Wegner and Devin Wegner of Olathe; in-laws Marie Erpenbach, Edna (Bill) Oberembt and Maurine Schneider; numerous nieces and nephews.
