Gerald (Jerry) Brenner died Sunday, August 4th 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls after a brief illness. Jerry was born May 8, 1968 in Ishikawa City, Okinawa, Japan, to the late Gerald Norman Brenner and Sachiko (Seragaki) Brenner. He studied art at UNLV from 1984 to 1986, then went on to manage several small casinos in Las Vegas. Jerry moved to Mitchell in 2001 with his lifelong friend Geno Frugoli, whom he’d been best friends with from the second grade. Jerry enjoyed sports cars and took pride in his personalized license plates and his Camaro. He liked car shows and watching his beloved Colts and anything else that could be done from a bar stool with his fellow ninjas. He was proud of his mother’s Japanese heritage and enjoyed the Samurai culture. Jerry is survived by his mother Sachiko Brenner; two brothers Daryle and Jeff Brenner; all of Las Vegas, NV and his close friends Wendy Hamilton, Mercedes Dicus, Natalie Muckey Mackey Muckey McGeough and Richard Bauerle and numerous other friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Depot Pub and Grill on Saturday, August 17th at 6PM.
