Doyle Crane

Doyle Crane, age 69, of Mitchell, formerly of Fedora, died Thursday, October 1, 2020, at his farm near Fedora. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Presbyterian Church in Fedora. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Artesian. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Doyle was born on July 24, 1951, in Mitchell, to Ivan and Marcella (Klasi) Crane. He attended country school before attending the Fedora School and the Artesian School where he graduated in 1969. Following high school, he graduated from Mitchell Vocational School with a degree in Architectural Drafting. Inside work was never for Doyle so he returned to the farm near Fedora where he farmed with his dad. He relocated to Mitchell in the spring of 2019 after his house burned down.

Doyle was active and heavily involved in 4-H and the Fedora Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to dance to Polka music and make new friends while doing so. He had a major passion for sports of all kinds. Doyle loved farming, livestock, and the country.

He is survived by four brothers, Keith McDaniel of North Platte, NE, Royce (Marilyn) Crane of Suwanee, GA, Larry (Mary) Crane of Mitchell, and Arlan Crane of Idaho Springs, CO; eight nieces; three nephews; and dozens of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one niece, Brenda McDaniel; and one nephew, Adam Crane.
