Dolores Kampshoff

Dolores Kampshoff, 96, of Mitchell, SD, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in Epiphany Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 14 at Bittner Funeral Chapel. The family requests that masks are worn at the visitation and funeral. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Dolores C. Kampshoff was born November 11, 1923 at home in Hanson County to Frank and Anna (Eich) Klinkhammer. On February 16, 1942 she married Walter Kampshoff. Walter and Dolores farmed in the Epiphany area until moving to Mitchell in 2010. Dolores was an avid bingo and card player, enjoyed dancing, watching the Twins play baseball, and word search puzzles.

She is survived by her three sons: Chuck (Myla), Sioux Falls; Jerry (Ruby), Canova; Lenny (Janet), Fulton; six daughters: Connie (Jim) Lynde, Mitchell; Linda Peterson, Donna Callies, Karlene (David) Meyer all of Sioux Falls; Mary (Ron) Paradeis, Mitchell; Deb (Dave) Paradeis, Watertown; sister, Ardella Gassman, Mitchell; sister-in-law, Ag Kampshoff, Salem; 30 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-granchildren.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents; brothers, George and Walt Klinkhammer; sons-in-laws, Larry Peterson and Galen Callies; and grandson, Matt Kampshoff.
