Darlene Peterson, 79, of Mitchell, SD, died Friday, December 11, 2020 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 16 at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Darlene Peterson was born August 17, 1941 to Edwin and Ella (Nelson) Peterson in Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Mitchell, and graduated from Mitchell High School. Darlene worked various jobs in Mitchell. She was affiliated with LifeQuest for many years.

In 1969, Darlene was united in marriage to Don Ehlers.

Darlene is survived by her sister, Elaine (Jim) Homolka; brothers: Edwin B (Lorna) Peterson, Delbert (Marie) Peterson, and Gerald (Wendy) Peterson all of Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1994 and her mother in 2013.
